How much will it cost to get a custom ring made?

Here are the things we take into consideration to determine that cost:

The Design Concept Development
This is the time we devote to discussing the details of your perfect ring.
We gather information, review photos that inspired your vision, sketch out the details.
You are an important part of this process. 
We are here to craft the masterpiece you want.
This part of the process can go very quickly or it can take a very long time.

Designing Your Ring
Once we have the concept of what we are doing, we can begin bring it into being.
The Initial Design Deposit is paid up front and applied as a payment on the final invoice.
Joel will draft an image with CAD (Computer Aided Design) software.
This is where we transform the concept into an image of what the finished product will look like.
Once you have reviewed the design image (called a Render), we will make whatever necessary adjustments to refine it until we have it just the way you want it.
This may be accomplished very quickly or it may take a considerable amount of time and revisions.
CAD design time is accumulated in 15 min increments.  Most of the time there's only 2 hours of accumulated CAD time.

Creating Your Ring
We have the Render image that you love and can't wait to see it on your hand!  Now it's time to shift into crafting your masterpiece.
The first thing that happen is, Joel heads back to the CAD.
He created the image, but now he has to take that same image and make it a viable 3D model.
The experience Joel brings allows him to complete such tasks quickly and rarely takes more than 30 minutes.
At this point we can get exact pricing on the cost to create your masterpiece.
We'll gather all the info and go over the cost with you.
We'll grow a plastic resin model of your ring for your finial approval.
Once you have approved, you'll receive an invoice to pay 50% of the cost.

Creating Your Ring
Now it's time to start the bench work!
The time frame from this point is 3-6 weeks.  High priority RUSH orders can potentially be completed in as little as 2-3 weeks.
​All gemstones are given a finial check in the resin model settings to ensure an excellent fit.
The metal working begins the process of crafting the piece.
Once the metal work is complete, it's inspected for accuracy and flaws.
It's cleaned up and pre-polished.
The gemstones are carefully set and secured in their places.
The entire ring is given another polish.
It's inspected again.
It's sent back to the workbench for the finial polish.
It's given the finial inspection.
Then you receive a notice that it's ready along with a reminder notice for the balance due.

Current Metal Prices will have an ​impact on your overall cost.
The prices listed below are a live feed update of current market prices per ounce.
This is the baseline expense that it cost us for the metal.
To put that in perspective, 1 ounce = 28.3495 grams.
A typical solid plain wide band size 10 ring may weigh 15 grams if it's made from Platinum, or 10 grams if it's made from 14kt gold.
